Merchants' FAQ
  1. What if I don't use all the certificates during my promotion?

Certificates have no expiry date. You can keep them for use in another promotion or for gifts to valued clients.

    Back to Questions

  2. Can I just purchase one certificate?

Each type of certificate has a manageable minimum order amount. In the event that you run a promotion and use more certificates than you anticipated, you can purchase additional certificates in any quantity.

  3. Can I use these certificates for my own travel.

The certificates are intended for promotional use as incentives to customers. They are not intended for use by the participating merchant for personal travel.

  4. Can I use a certificate for a local fund raiser?

Yes this is an acceptable use of the certificates as long as the charity does not auction or sell it. Certificates can be used as a door prize or part of a raffle but may not be sold or auctioned.

  5. Can I include the port charges in the certificates?

The port charges are paid to the cruise line at the time of booking the cruise. Our experience has been that including the port charges with the gift did not increase the promotional value of the certificates. Some merchants have given their customers the value of the port charges for referring another customer to them for some large purchases.

  6. Can I have an exclusive territory for using this promotion?

We will not sell to two competing businesses within the same market area. The first purchaser in the market will have exclusive use of the promotion until such time as they decide to no longer promote it.

  7. Do you provide advertising materials?

We can provide Carnival approved graphics for use in advertising and samples of ads used by other merchants.

    Back to Questions

  8. Are there any restrictions on the type of advertising used?

You can use any form of advertising from print to radio and television. In all advertising you must state that port charges and taxes are not included.

  9. Do you provide point of sale materials?

We can provide posters, mirror hangers for automobile dealers, table talker signs for retailers, door knob hangers for real estate agents, letterhead or post cards for direct mailing campaigns, lapel buttons, and balloons etc. These materials are available at a low cost per item. Custom printing is available for large quantities.

  10. Can I use these certificates for staff incentives?

Yes these certificates make excellent staff incentives.
